While we look forward to what the New Year has in store for Chemistry, we’re also taking the time to look back on some of the high points of a busy but exciting 2018. From new clients to magical Christmas ads, we’ve got a lot to be proud of as we enter 2019.
This year saw our list of clients grow here at Chemistry, with the welcome addition of two of Ireland’s most successful and best known brands; Dunnes Stores and Applegreen. Since winning Dunnes Stores’ business at the beginning of 2018, we launched the successful Everyday Savers campaign for their own-brand range, using a fresh new tone for the brand. Then, finishing the year on a bright note, we created the magical Dunnes Stores Christmas film. It told the heartwarming tale of a group of kids lighting the way for Santa on a foggy Christmas Eve, which generated a hugely positive reaction.
Applegreen have been another exciting addition to our client list this year, and with such an amazing ethos they’ve been a fantastic brand to work with. The launch of the successful Fuelgood campaign earlier this year got the ball rolling; centred around their revolutionary advanced fuel that’s better for both your car, and the environment, at no extra cost.
Last year, we also created some great campaigns for our already existing clients, such as the upcoming launch of the brand-new Centre Parcs Ireland in Longford Forest, the launch of the A7 for Audi, Danones re-launch of Milupa Cereals (complete with dancing babies!) and as always, some amazing work for The Irish Examiner, including an exciting brand campaign and our more recent thought-provoking piece which marked 100 years of the Irish woman’s right to vote.
2018 saw another year of great wins for Chemistry, both creatively and strategically. Starting with the ICADs last May, Chemistry walked away with 3 golds; one for film campaign with Lidl’s Trolleycam, one for best radio with our Kyl O’Ren spot and another for best integrated and earned media with Alt Right, both for The Irish Examiner. At the ADFX Awards we were delighted to bag a double win, with gold and silver effectiveness awards for Lidl. And finally, at the 2018 Kinsale Sharks awards we were lucky enough to go home with five sharks for The Irish Examiner, Audi and Windsor Motors.
These are just some of the highlights of our 2018 here at Chemistry, but we’ve had many more successful campaigns with great clients, both old and new, and welcomed valued new members of staff, to name just a few more.
